We're a dedicated group of supporters of Amherst Regional Athletics. We want to help support the healthy, positive impact that sports provides for student-athletes and the community at large. The Amherst Hurricanes Athletic Boosters, Inc., was incorpated as a 501 (c)(3) and is known as, the "Amherst Boosters," the "Hurricanes Boosters," and the "Boosters." We are a group of parents, coaches, student-athletes, community members, and alumni, who recognize the importance in community building and the value of athletics to all, not only those who excel in particular sports, but those who work hard, and enjoy the skills and education provided from being a team member. Athletic involvement provides a unique experience and education that is unavailable in the classroom. Sports provide some fundamental social-emotional skills, as well as a real-life project based learning: a team working together to meet common goals, including to compete at their fullest potential. So, to help our teams, coaches, and student athletes, we fundraise to help buy items that are not in the athletics budget. For the student-athletes who wish to continue competing at the college level, we support athletics by paying for the VidSwap subscription so that student-athletes are able to provide film to prospective coaches. We raise funds to provide at least two $1,000 scholarships a year.  We're also a source to assist with supporting our coaches so that they will have access to best practices, on-going education, and hopefully supplies and gear to proudly showcase.
